Delectable Chilli Chicken
Chilli Chicken is one of the most popular and loved starters. It can be prepared completely dry as a snack or in a semi-gravy form to accompany fried rice/noodles. You can always add your own twist by adding honey or green chillies, or even lime, as per your palate preference. If you have sudden guests coming over, then go for this quick and scrumptious chicken recipe and impress them with your culinary skills.
Ingredients of Chilli Chicken
- 400 gm chopped chicken (My Chicken And More - Chicken)
- 1/2 cup powdered corn flour
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic paste
- 2 tablespoon sliced green chilli
- 2 tablespoon vinegar
- 1/2 cup sunflower oil
- 1 beaten egg
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger paste
- 2 cup chopped onion
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 handful chopped spring onions
- 1/2 teaspoon powdered salt
Method of Cooking
To make this easy chicken recipe, combine chicken, eggs, ginger garlic paste and corn flour in a bowl. Mix all the ingredients properly. Then in the same bowl, pour enough water so that the chicken pieces are well coated with the batter. Once done, you can refrigerate the marinated chicken for 2-3 hours.
After 1-2 hours, take out the marinade. Next, you must heat oil in a deep pan over a high flame. Carefully place the chicken pieces in the oil until cooked through. Remove and drain excess oil on an absorbent paper.
Meanwhile, heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a separate pan over medium flame. Once the oil is sufficiently hot, add the onions and fry for 2-3 minutes till they turn translucent. Then add the green chillies and mix well again. You can also add some schezwan sauce and chilli flakes if you like it spicy.
Once done, remove and transfer the dish to a bowl. Garnish with the spring onions, roasted sesame seeds and serve it to your family and friends. We are sure this dish will be a hit with your guests!
